ASC still around?
i do not have a vert but i was just killing some time on the web so i did a search for ASC and it came up with American Sunroof Corporation. i know in 2004 they changed there name to American Specialty Cars. on American Sunroof Corporation web site they have a pic of there logo and it looks the same as the sitcker that they put on the door jams when they converted them
now on American Specialty Cars web site they do not use the logo or even say anything about there past (at least i could not find any thing) so are these to diffrent companys? i thought it was a little weird but i also never saw anyone say anything about the other company on here thought it might help you guys out

American Specialty Cars is the company that did the conversions. i've never even heard of the sunroof company, but i DID email american specialty cars and asked if they still carried weatherstripping for our cars since they did the conversions and they said that it was all discontinued a while back, so that's how i know for sure it was the correct ASC

Automobile Specialty Company was founded in 1965 as American Sunroof Company. This can be found on the ASC Incorporated web site (ASC Incorporated ). Click on "at a glance" and see the "Founded" paragraph.
My understanding is that today ASC Incorporated is the parent company of both American Sunroof Company and Automobile Specialty Company. Below is the sticker on my door jamb.
More information can be found at this web site: ASC - Monster.com Information
The lineage of all the related companies is a little confusing. The above page they have on Monster.com does however give some information on how they are all related.

I am told that ASC tossed out all the old tooling and documentation years ago after the last 'verts rolled out the door. One guy somewhere on the boards has a bunch of build sheets and I think some spec sheets.
For really 'vert specific stuff, talk to Lonsal or the other people here that I consider to be real demi-gods of 'vert parts and know how.
