for some reason my trunk is rubbing against my toneau cover and is now to the point where I cant open it. I already loosened th four bolts on the lid itself and pulled it out but it still wont line up. any ideas?

 

My car has 4 bolts holding the toneau cover on. It also has 4 bolts holding the trunk lid on. Have you tried loosening the toneau cover bolts and sliding it forward and loosening the trunk bolts and moving the trunk back?

How old are your trunk-lid support struts? If they are weak, it can throw off the alignment of the lid. So make sure those are in good shape before you do any adjusting. I spent several hours adjusting mine last year, and sometime later replaced my struts and it changed the alignment. So I had to re-adjust it all over again. The funky hinges on these things have a little bit of play in them, so the strength or weakness of the struts can affect the fit.
