Is it possible to tint the rear window? I know its plastic and I dont think it can be done but I heard somone talking about it and they said it could. Is there any new products on the market or was the guy just blowing smoke outta his @ss. I was even thinking that it would be possible to change out the plastic window for a tinted plastic but im sure it would probably be expensive to do.

First of all, you're going to pay someone a lot of money to change the window out for a tinted one. If you're going to do that, you might as well just get a new top with a glass window and be done with it.

But I believe you can use some VHT Nightshade on the plastic. That's about the only way I can think of. If you have it actually tinted, it's going to look like crap within a week because the plastic windows have to fold in half when they are down. If you can afford it, go to topsonline.com and get yourself a stay-fast glass window top. You'll be much more happy.

where would i find that vht nightshade? isn't that the same stuff the guys on here are useing to tint there tails?

Autozone is the easiest place to find Nightshades. And yes, that's the same stuff I'm talking about.

I'll bet you a nickel if you had the top removed, someone on here would pay you handsomely for it and it would cover much of the costs for a new one.
