Anyone ever look into making manual vert top power?

Like the title says, has anyone ever looked into converting the manual vert top to power so could just push a button and have it come down? If so, can it even be done? How much work is involved? Lastly, how much would it cost?

Thanks,
Jay

I thought about it before and I can answer all your questions. yes it can be done, it would be ALOT of work to do and it would cost alot to get all the custom fabricated mounts made.

I don't know about 3rd Gen's, but I know there was a company that made them for C5 Corvettes.... They wanted 10K, yes $10,000 for the conversion. No way that would EVER be worth it. Takes a few seconds to do it manually.

$10K just to have a power top is crazy. Even if I had it I would never pay that much.

Thanks for the replies,
Jay

That is exactly what I thought when I saw that. And on top of that you lost all storage space that the C5 had. I can't believe anyone would be that crazy.....

I am not sure how different the tops are but I owuld think the 94 + F-body verts may be similar enough to convert over a 3rd gen. However the biggest problem is the Tonneu cover...
