spare tire?? 88 vert

I have a question about my new 88 vert.
Where does the spare go? Currently it is just placed in the trunk. Is this the proper location? If not where is it to go?

On my 89 coupe, it's in the right corner of the trunk. Just get a large coin or flat head screw driver and turn those plastic bolts to access it.
