How many are left? what's the value?
Hey guys, I was just curious so I thought I'd post this up.
I have a 1991 Trans Am vert with 98,000. The car is basically fully loaded (factory CD player! but auto tranny though, blah). I have the original window sticker, price was about $28,000 when new if I'm not wrong. It's a little rough right now but it is drivable and I hit 90 with her yesterday.
I was just wondering about how many of these are left, I know that 555 were produced this year and 663 in '92. Are they considered desirable? I don't have any plans on selling mine but I'm just curious. Here's a couple pics of mine, planning to fix her up over the winter.

Sorry if this sort of thing was posted up before.

Nice car. Looks original... If so value probably around $5000 or more I would say. Always depends on who's looking to buy one. Definetly worth restoring. I believe these cars will begin to increase in value over the next few years. It takes awhile. The first generating F bodies really took a hike in value in the last 5 years or so. Definetly a worth while investment.

Check with an official appraiser, i just had my 87 Iroc-z convert appraised two years ago and he surprised me with a 15000 $ quote only 744 made this year, and still looks good i think, check Northstar Camaro Club website under Chris Williams to look if you wan't.

Definately worth putting money into it as the production numbers are real low. Just know, like everything else, there is always someone that has one w/lower miles, options, condition etc. I would definately agree that the price as is now is around 4-5k. Do a quality paint job, keeping it fairly stock and have the interior presentable and the price will only go up from there but you'll probably have to wait at least 25 years until the price slowly raises. Good luck and it really is a nice, desireable car in my opinion, as I never see them around. They won't build any more of 'em and who knows how many were lost due to accidents or parts cars.

That interior is the bulk of your value right there. Put on a decent coat of paint and catch up on any needed maintenance and you have a sweet driver.

Thanks me too. I saw a youtube video of a guy with an 89 formula 350 (if i'm not wrong) which was white with those newer tail lights, I thought it looked awesome.

Re: How many are left? what's the value?
That is a cool site.!!
I bought my 91 Convertible a few years ago just because it was rare. TPI and 5 speed. Very few of those. Although with 180,000 miles on it, a salvage title, and the fact that I painted it Black from the Arctic white.. I doubt it will ever be worth a fortune, but I plan on keeping it and enjoying it!!
