possibly parting out
Re: possibly parting out
Yea I think the other one will work out better cause I really only need the frame. This way I'll save about 300 and it's closer. I'm really sorry for wasting any of your time, you were really helpful.
Thanks Nick

it's fine but, a new top is over $300 so you are not really saving anything but whatever. If it is because of the drive I am willing to ship it if I stick it on Ebay I am sure I will probably have to ship it anyway.

the tonneau cover locking mechanism is long gone rear bow panel, I am not quite sure what you are referring to? and the interior side panels I have are light saddle(mint shape though, you could always have them recovered in gray. and yes they are single stripe iroc rims $350 and shipping for the whole set picked up if you want the tires to stay with them or willing to ship but at your expense. The tires are old but don't have many miles on them. one of the front rims is polished.

I could use the foglight switch.
Also could use the power window switches if the labelling on them is still in good-great shape.

do you need just the fog light switch or the whole panel? I will have to check and see if I have any window switches.

Re: possibly parting out
It's just the switch that isn't working and the panel is fine. But it's OK with me if the part is dissasembled to it's easiest point. I know the switch itself has a bit of a mounting bracket around it (I believe).

Re: possibly parting out
Do you happen to still have the plastic header peace that runs from side to side of the convertible top that is at the top of the windshield when you have the top up? If so I'd like to offer $50 for it.
Thanks

Re: possibly parting out
I still have both header trim pieces. If you are talking about the one the visors are mounted to I will sell for $100 and shipping. The one on the top is specific to 87 and early 88 I will let that one go for $150 and shipping. Sorry if it is too high but they are nearly impossible to find and will be worth more if I keep them around anyway so makes no difference to me. both of them are NOS pieces not reproduction pieces.

Re: possibly parting out
I've got a very intact convertible, but I'm wondering if I am better off parting it out financially? I love the car, but in today's economy I'm not sure I'll get what I could have a few years back or a few years from now. Was it better to part it or sell it whole?
Mine is a 91 Z28 5 speed.

Re: possibly parting out
I ended up selling it fairly intact with the economy the way it is you will probably get bit in the end either way. I sold the exterior shell for $500 but the guy that bought it still owes me $75 since he didn't bring enough for fuel to get back home on. If you have the room to strip it down and store parts you would be better off parting. that was my main thing is not having a garage.

Re: possibly parting out
That is what I was thinking. I do have a large garage and could store all the parts. Once I determine if it can sell complete (especially because it's a 5 speed) I will compare it to parting it. Thanks for your feedback.

Re: possibly parting out
would be a shame to part it out , If nothing is wrong with it. If you were on this coast Id buy it for a Daily Driver. Put it on ebay, craigslist ,etc... Im think it would sell.
