87 Iroc Convert
87 Iroc Convert
Got an offer on the table to buy an 87 iroc convert. Car is 5.0 TPI 5-spd. only 9k miles and all original. Perfect condition. Found out it doesn't have the G92, and rear disc. Should I still buy or hold out to find another? Car is Dark red metallic, tan leather.

Re: 87 Iroc Convert
I would get it too I just parted out the one I had it and sold the shell because of a bad title make sure it has almost all the pieces because they are kind of hard to find. The 87 and early 88 cars have different parts than the late 88 to 92 cars do. The manual release is completely different as are the header pieces. That car has the same color scheme as mine did but mine was painted over in bright red. I saw you said it had low miles but as cheap as alot of the parts were made that doesn't always mean anything.

Yes, 9k miles. The car is complete. Pretty much showroom. Only non original parts are the battery and tires. Just the thought of no G92 and disc brakes bothers me as that was what I was really looking for. But the sheer thought of ever finding another in this conditon with low miles may never happen.
