89 rs convertible latch actuator
89 rs convertible latch actuator
Does anyone know where to find replacement actuators for a convertible top? Mine work slightly but have corosion on the piston and aren't strong enough to release the latch.

I suppose you're referring to the tonneau release solenoids. I have used ones available. Do they fire, but not release the J-hooks? It could be that the body has gotten a little tweaked with time and you just need to adjust the J-hooks. You can loosen the nuts mounting the J-hooks and put shims behind them. Or replace the J-hooks if they are severely worn. I've never seen weak solenoids. The ones I find always fire strongly.

One side fires but does not have enough strength to release the hook. The other side won't fire at all. It has rust on the piston which I have been able to free up somewhat with PB Blaster and sand paper, but it still won't fire.
