I was wondering if anyone can tell me what door does the ASC sticker reside on? and if its always on the same door? Im trying to verify if 89 GTA Convt. is truely done by ASC and not a fake. I appricate any help..

My 89 is on the left side (drivers) B piller.

 

You might try contacting John (OKFOZ) as he has the records from ASC for the 1989 ASC conversions. Send him the last digits of your VIN (sequence number) inside a PM and he can verify:

If you want to know if it was an 89 ASC conversion, PM me.... All I need is your last 5 digits of your VIN, and i can verify that it is on the List.

If it is on the list I will send you a ton of information for free, all I ask for is a little bit of information, IE Interior/Exterior colors and whether it is a GTA or TA, that is it... I do not share it with everyone, only people that I feel are really in the need to know, either a serious collector or someone that owns one...

As a teaser, there was 369 Cars ordered, ASC claimed 330 were made, The list shows 324, I actually have 325 VINs from ASC, one other was not on the list but I knew was ordered from the information, as it was the only car ordered by the dealer.

Nope, only 1989, only Firebirds/Trans Am's

I was able to procure 4 VINS for 1987 Camaros that were the IROC 350 ASC converted Convertibles...

There was also a short list of 1987 Firebirds and I have made a small list of 1988 Firebirds too from cars that have come up... I have about 10% for both years... not much, but better than nothing.
