Re: Stock weight?
I meant to get you your answer today but I forgot to look at the weight placard on my vert when I was working on it to install new shocks. The car is garaged 30 miles from my house and I have had it laid up for suspension work.
I'll get the info on my next "work day" (struts coming UPS tomorrow) and compare it to the 91 spec sheet I have from Pontiac. The spec sheets don't include the vert, but they do have the coupe weight and info to add or subtract pounds based on equipment. I will calculate a coupe weight with my convertible options and let you know unless another member already has the answer for you.

Re: Stock weight?
Got my info. It tells me that my TA has a curb weight of 3567 lbs. The Pontiac spec sheets say a 91 TA coupe with the same options weighs 3617 lbs. If you believe these numbers, the convertible is 50 lbs lighter.
However, there were no add-on weights shown for wheels/tires and power seats which came standard on the convertibles. Not sure if they make much of a difference but I added 20 lbs for the seat's power/motor modules and nothing for the gatorback tires thinking that the standard TA tires were about the same weight.
By the way, an old Car and Driver article from Aug of 1991 listed the same curb weight for the convertible so I think my number is correct. It would be nice if someone with a 91 TA coupe could validate the 3617 number for the coupe.
