Not sure. The owner has not returned my phone call. Only info I have is what the site shows. Looks like he lost his buttt on it though. I'm tempted to call and see what is sold for. If I had not just bought another convertible I probably would have tried to buy it back from the auction.

Engine bay looks too clean for a engine fire, although something nasty happened under the passenger side dash. Electrical fire maybe?

He also managed to bounce something off of the left front fender/nose

The underhood insulation is burnt and hanging down. So there was a fire for sure. Yeah whole thing makes me sad.

Had to be electrical, maybe some wiring shorted out and given the apparent damage in the inside of the car, I'm guessing it's HVAC related. I loved how that car turned out too.

Maybe it was totalled and the insurance company sold it to Copar. I can't see him not having some kind of insurance on it to protect his investment.
How did you find it BTW?

I'm sure that is what happened. Strange part is typically the damage must exceed 75% of the value to total the vehicle out, and they said the damaged estimated at $7.5K, and that is less than the 75% of the price I sold it for. I think the poor dude lost his *** by not having adequate insurance?

A friend from Facebook that happens to live in ATL found in on the insurance auction and sent me the link. I hoped he was able to buy it so it went to someone I knew might take better care of it. Last I saw the bidding was up to $1200...

OK - I misunderstood what you meant by lost his shirt but damn you are probably right. Maybe he just had a regular policy on it. We really should have a collector's policy with an agreed value on these cars. My policy increases the value automatically every year.

Its for cleaning carpets and fabrics. Works well. Rub, scrub, remove. Depends on the level of staining or debris the amount of work you need to put into it. But basically you can just spray some on a cloth and rub into the fabric. Rub until you feel its clean. Do it again if it needs it.

Don't worry guys its in good hands now!

Needs a new engine harness, wiper motor, throttle cable, plenum top, hood insulation, etc. Worst part is it burnt the paint off of the firewall and bubbled the paint on the hood. As you may be aware it kind of made the metal show some surface rust. I don't know what to do.

Glad to hear it's in your hands. Any idea where the trouble started at?

Re: I'm in trouble... 92 Z03 Z28 Vert

Guys I've decided to sell the car. If anyone's interested in it as it is running and driving, I'll take $5500 for it.

It's going to need the lower front spoiler painted, new bumper, and LH fender repainted.
