Door decal color and location
I am thinking about putting the door decals only back on the vert. It was repainted before I got it and no decals were replaced. It is not a decal delete car. What color door decal on a red 1990 IROC Z Convertible? (Silver?) Any exact location measurements? Photos? thanks for the help...

Re: Door decal color and location
Color will depend on the RPO code sheet if you want to keep it original. If you never saw the decals prior to respraying then that's the only real way to tell (though usually they match the color of the IROC-Z emblem on the ground effects and rear bumper). i don't know the exact trim options available in 1990, but i know through the years there has been silver, gold, blue, and red (might be missing one).
as for the location. in the early years it was located on the mirror side of the door. after a few years they moved it back to the door handle side (i think 1988). it should be so the top of the Z lines up on the drives door roughly with the door handle and roughly halfway between the bottom of the door and the center of the door crease. then of course the same rough measurements for the passenger except the Z won''t be under the door handle.
see the picture below for reference.
