Way to tell factory top color?

My red '91 Z has a tan top on it. Everyone I see is black and I know mine isnt the original top. But is there a way to tell if it was originally tan or black? What color combos were available?

Re: Way to tell factory top color?

OK... I don't know if there is any way to definitively determine the right color, but according to the 1992 camaro sales brochure black and tan were the only colors offered for the top. I've never heard of a tan top on something other than tan interior, so if the interior was any other color then tan, it should have a black top (verified as one of the asterics below the color combos on the brochure). There may be some differences between 91 and 92 though.

Here's a few links.
