Re: My 92 Trans Am Convertible Restomod Project
Went to install the power driver window yesterday and found the hack job that was done underneath. Had to fashion new bolts and assembly hardware just to get the manual one working instead. Switching back to power will take a weekend.
But in fixing the manual window, I did eliminate a lot of door clanging and banging when closing it and fixed the alignment of the window itself.

Also got Some fresh kicks installed this last weekend. Hankooks cheapest offering. $310 shipped, then bent over for $100 installed. I could have done it cheaper/free if I had time, but I am seriously time compressed for such things.

Water pump started to whine last week. Thought it might be the idler pulley, but when changing the oil I noticed what looked like a leak from the gasket below. Probably not the gasket... And another leak at the radiator. Might do the Belt, wires, plugs and blower fan at the same time.

Finally got around to working on the car. Hooked up the gages to the ac and found out I didn’t have a leak after all and it was just the low pressure switch. Swapped that out and installed the blower fan I bought years ago. Have working ac again. Also found out it’s running r134a or at least the adapters are on there for it.

I hope you're in it for the long haul. My availability window for this has closed for the year and I've not been able to do anything. But now that AC is working it's much closer on the todo list. With the windows closed I'm hearing a lot more creaking so chassis stiffening is the next purchase on the todo.

Re: My 92 Trans Am Convertible Restomod Project
Sick of my soggy armrest, I'm thinking about 3d printing the firebird armrest. Either to be covered in the OEM vinyl or to be coated in some other material.

Benefit of the 3d print is that I can make it far sturdier than OEM and I can add more height to the inside or any clips or extra "holders" of anything I'd want. Like sunglasses or whatnot.

I'll probably model it this week. Not sure on when I'll actually print it out, but I'll upload it online when I have it done.

There's a vendor on ebay who sells stitched leather products for the interiors of our cars, one of the products being an armrest cover, if you 3d printed the stock shape his leather cover would slip straight on. choice of stitching colour too.
If you go looking, bear in mind I seen them on ebay UK.

Started test fit and measurements. Definitely don’t like the superglue and flat connections. Next round will dovetail for sure.
going to make it 1.75” wider too. Drawing off pictures is not as accurate as I require.
