Here's mine. 92 TA convertible. 62,000 original miles. Factory 5 speed manual transmission. Fully loaded, special ordered. Red with black top and black GTA wheels. Grey leather and carpet. Power antenna. Still has original dealer license plate frames on it. All documentation including build sheet, window sticker, dealer pre delivery inspection form, special order invoice and original purchase contract and every maintenance record since day 1. Southern CA car. I'm the second owner.

Re: 1992 Trans Am Convertibles- Post Pictures and stories about history of your Verts

Here's my contribution. I've always thought the thirdgen convertibles looked super nice. Back in '99 when I decided to move on from my first car (an '88 Formula), I wanted a '91-92 Dark Green Trans Am convertible with a tan interior. I always liked that color combo. In my search, I came across a black on black GTA that was fully loaded for a really good price so I bought it. Over the years I've always admired the convertibles. Well, after 17 years of daily driving my '91 GTA I finally bought a convertible to pair with it. I got a '92 T/A convertible in the color combo I was looking for. I had to have it shipped from Florida to CA, but oh well. This is the first pic before I washed it:

The seats have been recently reupholstered and the top was new as well. I still have a lot of work on nickel and dime gripes to bring it up to my standards, but nonetheless it is in pretty solid shape. Here is my new addition after being washed:

The view from the front of my garage. That's my '91 GTA in the foreground.

I don't know a whole lot about the history. I know it started out in Colorado before moving to Florida a few years ago. Other than that, I don't have a lot of info just yet. Still learning about it and verts in general.

Your convertible looks really awesome Eldon. Honestly I didn't realize what a nice example you bought. It looks like it was definitely worth it to have it shipped from FL to CA! Especially since it's getting so hard to find decent third gen verts, especially some of the rarer ones.

Yeah I had put it on eBay to test the waters a couple months ago, but didn't get a high enough offer for it to be worth it from my perspective to sell it. Now I won't sell it.

Its a pretty rare car. 92 5 speed vert TA with all documentation and such low mileage. I love this car. Third gens and third gen verts are pretty special cars to me there aren't many good ones left we've got to protect the survivors and keep them going!
