Help me price this thing please. Given its condition I do not know where to price it. I do not want to give it away but I want it to go quick and I need at least enough to cover a trailer I want to pick up ($2500). Original, under hood and interior are very clean. except for the dash, it needs a new one.
1992 Z28 Convertible. 2nd owner. Somewhere between 190k and 200k miles.
305 Auto
All original and runs great, was bought new in ’92 by a couple in their 50’s. I bought it from them in their 80’s and while cosmetically it needed/needs some work this car mechanically the best 3rd gen I’ve owned up until the 30k mile one I currently have.
Engine bay is spotless A.I.R and smog pump removed to clean up the bay.
Interior is real clean driver’s seat is just as clean but has some of the usual wear. Needs a dashpad.
In the little bit I have had it out in the weather the top has only leaked about a quarter size spot of water into the interior. Otherwise top doesn’t leak but I’m admitting it hasn’t seen much more water than a car wash in the 3 years I’ve owned it. Its been garage kept the past 3 years.
Car has a little rust in a few spots 1) bottom rear of both front fenders around where they meet the ground effects. Being fenders its an easy bolt on fix. 2)Has a little rust around rear wheel wells mainly in front of rear wheels towards the bottom. And 3” one small line of rust around your left heal when driving. About an inch wide and maybe a foot long. Would be easy to patch.
Needs paint, runs great I’d drive it anywhere. Currently is not PA inspected only because I bought another one last year and this ones been sitting since. Should pass inspection.
Last two pics show I’ve removed the drivers side ground effect and started to dig into the rust. I will reinstall the ground effect and can spray a little black primer on the sanded section.
Factory radio and bezel will be installed Ground effect will be reinstalled

Final Year, top of the line model, convertible, and a good interior, all valuable things which help offset the body condition and make it more valuable. I don't think you'll have too hard a time selling it. Appears her next owner is also setup and ready for a double din!
Good luck with the sale. I am curious if you don't mind sharing, how difficult was it to swap the heater controls to the bottom? Did it fit down there without extending or modifying the wiring?
