BeCool Radiators in F-Bodies

Has anyone installed the BeCool radiator listed in the Summit catalog for about $500 give or take a few bucks? Any information? How about the $299 Ferrari fans with a .38 HP motor, listed as either chrome or gold? Anyone install one of these? Trying to gather some information before attacking the dreaded cooling issues with my 88 GTA.

I am sure you can find a few people with them if you search through reader rides on the main site. I think the BeCool radiators are a bit overkill price wise. There are cheaper alternatives. A couple people on the board are using griffen radiators. More than half the price as BeCool. I believe some people are using autozone brand that works pretty well and is an even cheaper alternative.

I'm very happy with my Griffin 3 core aluminum radiator for $180.

Well, I'm one that opted to spend the money for a BeCool. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives out there, but I have been extremely happy with the way I went. I don't care how hot it gets I never go over 180. I'm running a 16" Mr Gasket puller fan with the rad. The BeCool slid right in with no modifications at all. I had a custom fan mount built since I was not running the factory radiator hold down.

Just a question

Where can you get a custom fan mount...is it the custom one sold in summit? I think I am gonna go with the bee kool one and shell out the extra cash because I am a novice and the easier it is to install the better I'll feel. But, please share the info on the fan mount.
Thanks

My be-cool radiator arived today. (ebay $175 shipped)
I haven't put it in yet, but it looks awsome!!! Very well made piece. I'll put it in this weekend, and I'll try to get some pics of the install. I downloaded the instuctions from jegs, and they say there are some spacers you have to make. I'll post how the install goes.

86IROC, the fan mount that I have was made at the same time I had a lot of other billet stuff made. There is a picture of it on the web page. BeCool sells one that is made for their radiators.
