Sensor in AC line on LO3

I have removed my AC pump and installed the idler pulley. I am now removing all the rest of the AC system. What is the sensor that is in the AC line right in front of the Accumulator? Reading other posts it seems like I remember seeing that this would have been a secondary fan switch if this were a TPI car but mine is TBI and a single fan with the switch in the pass. side head. Just curious as to what it was and to make sure I won't run into any problems when I unplug it.

That is the "Fan Control Switch (A/C Pressure)". It just sends a fan request signal to the ECM when the freon pressure rises above a set point.Disconnecting it will not affect fan operation since you are removing the A/C anyways.
