Hooking secondary fan switch up directly

okay tell me if this is correct, to hook up the secondary fan switch to a toggle switch....i need to find the wire that goes into the sensor wich is located on the passenger side in the head or block, take some wire connect the 2 wires run the wire into my car and splice the wire with a toggle switch, then i can turn my secondary fan on and off when i want??? is this the way to do it? if not please tell me how i can do this Thanks -Don

Here's all you need to do, keep in mind, you can use whatever color wire you wish to run to the switch & fan switch wire colors varied thru the years so I used black, they can be blue, black, grey or some other color I've yet to see but, as long as you find the fan switch, wire color is irrelevant.
