which fan is better 1 15" fan, 17 fan or a dual 12" fan.

ok at work they are parting out some older caprices and some have a 17" electric fans. i have the stock 15 in electric fan now, but there is 1 with a dual 12" selectric setup. which would be better ... unfortunatly i dont know the CFM #'s on any of the fans.

I would take the dual 12" as it covers more of the radiator area.

As desert86 said, the dual fans will cover more inē. Without taking into consideration the number of blades or their angles (for cfm calculations) and disregarding the area used up by the motors;

Area of circle = (pi)rē

(1) 15 inch fan has 706.8 inē

(2) 12 inch fans have 904.8 inē
