where is the fan switch located?

my fan switch is shot. i blew my radiator a month or so ago and had o pay a 200$ tow bill b/c i didn't realize i was overheating. i recently discovered that the fan didn't come on. now i need to turn on the a/c to get the rad. fan to kick on. my question is where is the fan switch and can i replace it with an aftermarket one better than stock to replace it with? thanx

The Fan switch is located in the passenger side head between the 6 and 8 spark plugs. I have a Jet Fan Switch that turns on at 200* and off at 185* from Summit for around $35.

I couldn't really tell if it helped that much because I always use my AC and the fan automatically comes on with the AC. But, during 80* days without AC the engine temp goes to about 200*-220* in stop and go traffic.

How much coolant needs to be drained to change the fan switch? Any idea how much coolant a 5.0L holds??
