wires from fan?
ok guys my fan doesn;t come on after my tbi to carb swap and i can't find an answer why in the search so i need to knwo where the 2 wires from the fan go. one is black and the other is black with a pink stripe.i know if i touch the black with a pink stripe one to the battery the fan will run. well thanks guys. oh yea the sensor in the head on the passengerside controls the fan right?
yeah, the relay for the fan is on the drivers side wall. it has a black/red, blue, brown, and maybe a nother color i'll try to find a diagnostic schematic of it for ya. do you have all the woiring hooked up right from the ecm to the relays, and from the relays to the fan? check over again. see if the computers if you changed them are compatible.
welp, it won't work so if anyone else can get the ****in computer to work right put one up. the wiring is like this. the relay has a orange, tan, black/red, and a dark green.
dark green-ecm
black/red- fan
orange or red-hot(fuseable link)
tan- fuse block(hot in run)
hope that helps a little. until i can get this stupid thing to work that's all i got.

that's prolly whyit won't work. usually the ecm grounds the green wire and that turns on the fan by making a complete ciruit. if you have no ecm then the car doesn't know when the fan should turn on. your best bet would be to hook up a seperate toggle switch for the fan so you can turn it on manually.
