overheating
old owner of my 87 t/a said all i had to do is change the thermostat on car and car will not overheat. is that true. also wut else can cause overheating???

Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt
The plastic air damn on the bottom of the car can cause it if its missing or mangled. My buddy had an 85 firebird that he lost and it would always overheat had to make one with some sheet metal n didnt have a problem sense. It forces air from the bottom of the vehicle up into the front of the radiator.
