low water level
my water pump recently died, and dripped away half the water in the system. but i had driven for a while to get to home, then the next day i noticed only a bit in the in the drive, so the rest must have already gone. so what do you think this may have done to the cylinder heads and the rest of the bits
Check the oil and coolant levels daily for a week, but keep in mind the coolant header tank normally goes down the first few days after a pump replacement, while the system refills itself. Look under the oil filler cap occaisionally for any signs of white sludge from coolant.
Good luck.
Good luck.
i ran like 10 miles with a blown water pump..
i got to work and when i left i saw a big puddle of coolant in my parking spot but i had to get home, so i drove home and parked. looked under the car and saw the coolant coming out the pump..
went a bought a new pump and installed it and everything has been fine...
even though i was low on coolant i still did not over heat and ran 220 the whole way home..
