So i just replaced my heater core and upgraded my thermostat from 160* to 180*... after i buttoned everything down i pressure tested my system. All the connections were fine.... but there is deffinitely a small leak comming from the intake manifold. Looking straight at the engine, its the closer-left hand side, right next to the valve cover.

It seems like something i'm not gonna be able to fix without a major tear down.. anyone have a second opinion??

sounds like an intake manifold gasket let go, how much pressure did you put on the system ??, it shouldn't be that hard to replace the gasket (depending on what setup you have). might as well go ahead and upgrade the intake to a performance style while you have it off (if you don't already have one).

Put it up to just under 16 PSI... where 16 PSI is the pressure my cap warrants. So pretty much. I was planning on brining a torque wrench to my intake and making sure that everything is buckeled down to the appropriate pressure.

You can try going through the whole sequence of bolts, dont do just one. Its like a leaking dam, you plug one whole with your finger and another will open. Worst case scenario, replace the intake gaskets.

If the leak is from the manifold it can go down as well as up, so it might be worth checking the oil didn't get coolant in it.

i would consider changing the intake manifold gasket...
