electric fan

My fan fuse blows everytime that i put a new one in. This started very recently. I disconnected the relay to check it, but with the fan relay disconnected it still blows fuses. Has my fan gone south?

does the fan move at all? maybe it froze up and blows the fuse, and if it moves it maybe drawing too much current and blowing it that way, or you have a short somewhere else..

Check the wires all the way up to the fuse block. Chances are the wire coating may have rubbed/burned/ came off and could be rubbing on a ground. If all your wires look good, its most likely what he said, your fan pulling too much current. Is your fanstruggling to spin freely, or is it just the motor that doesnt make it spin?

...

The motor is not energizing or moving at all and so the fan is not moving in the slightest...
