help overheating

help overheating

i think my fan isn't workin cause i have a new 160 stat and durin normal drivin its ok but stop and go it gets very hot very fast i have a 92 1le wit a single fan so i think my ecm controls the fan not relays???? so i probally need a whole new fan not a relay right?? please help cause i need to solve this right away

a ground signal would still need to go through a relay, because your working with 12 volts and it can handle that kinda current draw...

I never really paid attention to it before, but which direction is the electric fan supposed to turn?
