new style fan switch?

I just got a new fan switch for my '92. it goes inside the upper radiator hose flange. seems simple enough. sensor tucks in the hose mount, power wire stays where it is, ground to the ground post on the switch, third wire goes to the other post. the switch is adjustable from 195 to 230 degrees. fan on and 185 fan off. it was about a 15 min. install costs $30. I'll attach the brand and model number in a few min. just had to tell somebody!!!

mechanical fan works real good single electric fan was a waste of time to try and get it to work.. Especially in Az where i dont have time for failures with a fan.. i only have one problem with the car heating up which is in stop and go traffic so i am thinking of hooking up the auxilary fan.. and i still havent put on a fan shroud.. you know anyone selling one still??

I found it my local performance shop. Any parts house that carries Flex-a-Lite products should be able to order it. It went in very easy. Wire the black and red fan motor wire to 12v with a fuse in line, then wire the black fan motor wire to the #1 post on the switch, then the #3 post of the switch to a ground. Take off the upper radiator hose (at the radiator) put the capilarry tube into the radiator hose opening, carefully bend the tube around the hose flange using the rubber cushion supplied, wrap the hose flange at least 2 times around w/electrical tape and put your hose back on. Start the car to check for leaks, then with the fan switch set at "normal" run the engine up to the temperature you want the fan to come on and slowly turn the switch dial down until the fan tunrs on. That's it!!! It's been 2-3 weeks since I did it and at no time has the car been over 220 degrees. That's where I set the switch. For $29 you can't beat it.
