Is this normal? I live in DFW, so it's 85-95 degrees here daily..
It's kinda worrying me.

Forgot to mention..it's a 91 GTA / L98.

Has it always done this? If so, yes. The stock computer tells the fans to turn on at 220 degrees.

I haven't had to sit in traffic much until a few months ago..but it was winter then. Never seen it over 160 or 170..I guess it's just a summer thing.

ur fine, mine gets up to like 220 sitting for over 10 minutes in traffic, but cools right back down driving again, i dont mind it going to 220 but if it starts to move higher than that, then i turn on my passengers side fan.

if really worried about it...go to parts store and buy a aftermarket fan for a v-6 or something and mount it on the front of the radiator put make it push instead of pull (switch the wires around) i did it and it really works. i hardly never get past 200*
