What is this about ?
What is this about ?
I hope I am not bringing up an old or beatin' topic.....but I heard that alot of 3rd gens have cooling problems do to the angle of the engine and an air bubble forming somewhere in the system.
Ever heard of anything like that ? If so...where does that bubble form and why would that affect the cooling process ?
Thanks

Any cooling system will exibit problems if the system is not bled of any trapped air. Later GM vehicles use bleeder valves in areas where air can be trapped and it is pretty critical to follow book procedures. TG's you just leave the cap open when filling and gently bring it slightly off idle then back again until most of the trapped air is out. If the cooling fans are operating correctly and the system has good pressure, the rad is clean and efficient and the coolant ratio is correct they are no better or worse than most other cars out there.
