what causes corosion in radiators?
i have a new radiator, less than a year old...looked inside today, and i noticed that instead of seeing shiny metal, it has some of that white cruddy looking stuff on it. what exactly causes that stuff? just wondering.

It is prolly sediment. If I were you I would flush you coolent system out completely with a good flush kit.
