Ok so before I F__K it up ...heater core hoses?

Ok so before I F__K it up ...heater core hoses?

Ok these are the two hoses I need to connect to each other in order to bypass my heater core, right? (The two you see going into the firewall) Just wanted to make sure I didn't yank em off and then end up being the wrong hoses. And do I have to drain the coolant system just to connect the hoses? ...it seems like I could pull them and elevate them and there wouldn't be much spillage...

Yup those are the hoses. Shouldn't spill out too much either.
