fans
I am not ready to play detective so I'm just going to replace the items to get my fans working, and keep the factory set up.
In my 92 tpi with dual fans... is there 1 switch, 1 relay and 1 sending unit.. right??
My car is staring to overheat and I just replaced the water pump. With the age of my car, I just assume to replace these items to make sure I eliminate the possibilities.
Please inform me if I am missing something.
thanks
edit: BTW, I have also replaced the radiator hoses and the heater work really well.

c'mon
you guy's are tech wizards!!!
Somebody out here has gotta know. I just to want to get everything all at once, install it and get it over with. The summer is just around the corner so temps will soon be on the rise.. I just don't want my car temps to get too hot.
Thanks again.

im pretty sure secondary fan comes on with a/c switch.
yes is one temp sensor switch for fan but another for ECM only, and another for temp guage it is in the cylinder head, and one relay for each fan im pretty sure since each one comes on at different times independent of each other
do you know for sure that the fan motor is not fried ? better test that first, then go for temp sensor switch- in which is GM parts counter only item, the parts stores only have the one for the temp guage,

driver side fan. works off one relay, coolant temp sensor in front of engine. once computer see's 228 ish temp it grounds the relay and fan comes on
passengers fan. works off a/c pressure switch / fan switch in the block between 6 & 8 cyclinders. has its own relay. fan switch if stock grounds relay around 234.
what works with what on ? / at what temps?
