My temperature gauge needle is in the 5 o'clock position and does not work. I've had the car only short while so have not had chance to investigate.

Wondering if anyone else has seen a gauge in this position?

I suspect the gauge itself is physically broken. If it were electrical I think it would be in the 7 o'clock or "low" position.
