3 Row Radiator
Has anyone bought a 3 Row Radiator? I was thinking of getting the stock replacement but for $40 more I can get a three row instead of a lil One row. Does it cool better than the 1 row? I have heard alot of complaints on cooling on our Thirdgens. I just dont want to be throwing money at the car for this 3 row not to be taken advantage of. If anything I will just buy the 3 row to test it out then put one on my Firebird as well. BTW, the 3 row will be going into an 86 IROC Z28 TPI 305 Auto with a 160 Stat and a bypass on the TB.
Thanks,

Well, when I bought my 84 Z28 it overheated alot so the dealer had a service bulletin that directed them to change the rad. and air deflector. I brought my rad. and air deflector to the dealer and they gave me the new ones. I also got a copy of the S/B and thats the part# of the replacement rad. I now have a 355 on the juice and my eng. run real cool. I could not tell the diff. between the rad's so it must be the metal its made of. Car never overheated after the rad. change.

i installed a 3 row radiator, 160 t-stat, and a hypertech fan switch and my car hasn't seen passed 240. Even in 100 degree weather and traffic. With a combonation of these parts will make the car run cooler. When i just installed just the 3 row radiator and the 160 t-stat, i saw no difference compared to stock, but when i installed the hypertech fan switch, it made a big difference.
