On my 92Z28., there is a temp switch on the passenger side between the last 2 spark plugs and above the starter and one on the drivers side near the first sparkplug (think that one is for the temp guage) and then the one by the thermostat (temp control sencor I believe). Hope that helps, pay no attention to the spelling.

The one by your starter is the fan switch. the one on the driver side by the #1 sparkplug is the coolant temp sending unit for the temp gage in the instrument cluster and then you have the coolant temp sensor in the from of the intake manifold below the throttle body if you have a TPI engine. If you have a 305 TBI engine the coolant temp sensor is on the right side of the engine behind the A/C compressor and the other units mentioned are in the same place previously mentioned.
