V6 Radiator in a V8?

I'm looking at buying a trans am (5.0 TPI) that needs a new radiator and I have a spare V6 (89 2.8L firebird) radiator. Will it cool properly or do I have to get a replacement from autozone?

My GF had an 87SC that had a cracked V6. We replaced it with a '68 307 that had 62,000 and used the stock radiator. Cooled fine.
