All coolant additives equal???
I've been doing a little research on coolant additives and the main ones I'm considering are:
- RedLine Water Wetter
- Royal Purple Purple Ice
- 40 Below
- Valvoline Zerex
They all seem to be pretty much on par with each other...just curious if anybody has preference to a particular brand for any reason....
Most likely I'll just pickup whatever one I can find cheapest....I believe they recommend changing it every 10-15K

They're intended to be used with straight water in racing engines. I don't know if I'd want to use an additive on on the street. If you're having cooling problems, you'd be better off correcting whatever's wrong.

I added Water Wetter to my radiator before the last flush (last week) and saw no noticeable change in cooling. That said, I made sure there was a bottle in the radiator after I flushed it last week. Nothing is too good for my car.
