I have fan switch, but no harness on motor

please delete, double post - I have fan switch, but no harness on motor
I tried to delete this double post, but it would not let me.
I thought I was having the problem most people were having of the fan switch not kicking in soon enough, so I bought a fan switch from Mid America, and when I got my car on jackstands, I got a surprise. I have the fan switch, but there is no harness connected to it, or anywhere near it! Where would this wiring harness come from? I need to some how trace back so I can find where it went.
