Radiator, two or three row?
My car does heat up when sitting idle for a little while, stop and go traffic or really hot days, I have changed the T/stat (because its so easy and inexpensive) so I know thats good, the fan switch is good and working properly, coolant fully flushed, no leaks, just seems to get a little warm. So I have been thinking about a new radiator, the one in the car just looks too small, especially for hotter areas..It appears to be a two(?) row rad. I have seen an "HD" radiator thats three rows but is all metal. I was told also that the stock two row aluminum radiator cools just as well as this..Is this true? should I upgrade to dual fans?? If so, is this easy to do? Whats a good radiator to use for a stock 305 TBI in So. California hotter climate?

i dont think a three row metal will cool better then a 2 row aluminum
are you using a 160 stat and a lower temp sensor for the fan?
chances are a second fan will do wonders
you can have many options there, like converting your current setup or just adding another fan like an auxilary one, also a tranny cooler might help as well.
and of course air flow and air dams/spoilers are needed on these cars
i've also had great luck with redlines water wetter for two reasons
slightly lower temps
and alot less corrosion
also make sure you are using the right antifreeze mix too
since you said it's in traffic, i'd go with another cooling fan

I have a 185 degree T/stat in the car..I am fairly certain that the coolant is mixed properly..I was also thinking about the second fan..I would like to use the "stock" setup..I really dont want to get an aftermarket one..Is putting a factory dual fan setup difficult on these cars?? Should I run a 160 T/stat??
