Will this thermostat fit on my GTA '89 ?

Hello,

last time when i was in the USA,
i purchased this for less..

Please check this thermostat out.
His name is :

Superstat 195 F Heavy Duty Thermostat
part # 59359

see picture below..

I live in the Netherlands,
temperature is here approx. 5-20 celcius....
winter : -10 - 5 celcius
summer : 5 - 38 celcius

so tell me, i must replace the old one,
because its rusted, old etc..

I want to install it into my GTA 5.7 1989 engine

Hope will get your answer soon.

I looked up 89 GTA 5.7 and these are the numbers for Stant that I get. How long ago did you purchase this?
The best I can suggest is to remove your old one and match them up side by side to make sure they are the same.
Stant 45359 See image and details for this item
OE Temperature; Superstat; Use w/7 Lbs + Pressure; Verify Pressure Cap Operating
Lifetime Replacement Warranty

Stant 13359 See image and details for this item
OE Temperature; Reverse Poppet; Use w/7 Lbs.+ Pressure; Verify Pressure Cap Operating; Or {13309}
2 Year Limited Warranty

That looks the same as your factory 195 temp thermostat. If shipping and availablity were such large problems for you, I would recommend a 180º thermostat.

with those kind of temps, a 195F stat will be just fine.
if i remember right, 38C is like 85F,... i don't even want to know what -10C is,... other than WAY too cold for me.
