dual fans

Hey guys

I have adual fans set-up on my 87 Grandnational that came off of a 88 5.7L GTA can any body tell me how many cfm the stock dual fans were rated at ?

witht e temps outside of 90 with the air running stting and idling my coolant temps with go up to around 190. i know that's not to hot . but i would have thought it would have done a little beter than that with the dual fans.

my point is i don't wanna buy another aftermarket fan and the f- body fans move just as much air.

i know it's not really f-body related but thanks anyhow

I'm not really sure what CFM the dual fans run, but on my 89 gta the fans kick in at different times (temps). I would always wonder why my car would run at 200 degrees until I pulled the thermstat and realized that it was a 195! I'm not sure what type of thermostat you have, you never mentioned....... but lowering it will help. The Firebirds nose is horrible as far as getting air to the Rad, and it has helped us.......
Anyways you could always ground out both fans wires or just one for that matter so that they run while the ignition is on..... or do some of the fancy set ups outlined here......(at the top of the web page)
Good luck with the CFM!
