New Radiator

The past few weeks i have noticed my coolant has been getting low today i finaly noticed that the plastic side is cracked so i have a new almunium one on hold at AZ going to pick that up tomorrow. Here are my questions

I have a trans cooler and it has those special ties to hold it to the radiator can those be saved so i can reuse them or do i need to buy new ones. I looked around town and could not find any i saw that summit has them. If i cant save them is there a tempory way to hold it in place until i get the special ties? Also what are they called.

How much tranny fluid will i loose when i disconnect the trans fluid line will it be allot or just a little?

Any words of advice since this is my first time pulling the radiator on the car i also have an AC condensor as well should i be worried about anything with that during my removel?

oh i JUST did this the other day, take the upper holder thing of the radiator off (like 4 bolts) and pull it out, take a long knife/ hacksaw (what i used) and cut the black things (there is a gap between the rad and the a/c condesor of about 3 inches) SO after you cut them the rad will come out and you can cap the trans cooler line things again. (i assume you have an external) not much fluid should come out if you have it inline anyways.

anyways, i now have my external tranny cooler attached from the front and to the back of the a/c condersor. no need to bend up the fins on that new radiator is there?

I got the zip tie things to hold down the radiator and tranny cooler.

Dont attach it to the radiator with those its that simple. on my bird there is an "X" of braces in front of the rad, i attached it to that.

how do you attach it to that with the included ties?

thats how i have mine, the "back" of the ties are on the back of the a/c condensor, their is about 3 inches between the back of the a/c condensor and the front of the rad, no need to send it through the rad. just through the a/c condensor.

edit:

plus where i have it, if you look in the front left of the grill it goes RIGHT to the cooler. if you put it on the center of said x, it just gets hte air from under the car.

mine gets air from under the car AND air going straight through the grill.

Well i have a bird so no difference I used pipe strap (it has little holes in it) wrapped around the brace evenly, through the cooler. As a backup (never know) i attached the heavy (4mm wide) zip ties around the loops of the cooler onto the brace.
