what is the normal operating temp for a 327?

if it were mine, being a non computer controlled engine, i would try to keep it below 200, but if it were mine, i would be beating in up all the time and it would run hotter

Probably about the same as all the other Gen. I SBC's. I run mine about 200 (195° thermostat).
