Adjustable radiator fan switch - or a simple on/off switch

Bought an adjustable switch at Kragen uhmmm hrrmmm yeah... 50 bucks .... so yeah should be a decent one.. for that price .. lol

Question is now ... this may sound stupid but.. in order to get the 180 thermostat to actually do something (instead of the stock 195) ... do I really need the adjustable or preset fan switch ...

Or... can I wire it to the inside of the car.. and have an on/off manual switch ?... and achieve the same result

50 bucks right now to me is like hmmm well.. could get other things for that price

On the highway the engine temp will run on the thermostat, but in town the fan will control it. So you'll be running 220 mostly in traffic unless you get a lower temp switch or a toggle switch. Usually with the AC on the temp will be lower also.
