Electric Fan Issues (HELP!)

Will the cooling problems ever end?!

Anyways... I finally got my water outlet to quit leaking (whew!) but now I noticed my radiator fan isn't coming on! It's been long-since grounded to the chasis, so it comes on whenever the ignition is on. I noticed it wasn't running while testing the water outlet.

I checked both the fuses, they're ok. Then I checked the wiring going to the chasis. When I ground the wire (with the ignition on) it makes a clicking sound, but the fan does not turn on. What could this be? Fan motor is dead? Please advise!

My fan motor recently died so its possible. Get a voltage meter and trace where power is going.

Update...

Hooked a volt meter up, and I'm only getting 9.5 volts going to the fan. It's supposed to have 12, right? Any suggestions?

Axle/Gears: They spin (most of the time)
If i was you, i would just replace the fan motor, because 9 times out of 10 when it doesnt come on its bad. I put two on mine in 6 years (one was an Advance brand).

Yeah, I ended up picking up a new fan motor. It was only 23 bux with a lifetime warranty, so I figure, that's easier to replace that the wiring. I'm gonna be putting it in shortly... got my figures crossed!

Re: Electric Fan Issues (HELP!)

Having the same issues on my 91 firebird replaced the fan motor and water pump checked the fuses they're good, gonna replace the relay if I remember it's the one in the center? near the master brake cylinder, I'm stumped. Haven't checked the power in the wires yet. But could it be the relay that's been the issue the whole time? Either way those parts had to be replaced most of the parts are original. Sorry if the post if off topic I'm new on here and don't know how to start a thread
