Modified cooling solutions Question
I have an 85 Trans Am that (305 TPI) I would like to take out the electric fan and put in a 17" light weight mechanical fan and wondered if there would be any clearance issues with anything? and what I noticed is that my intake is gona have to be taken off and wonder whats the shortest kind of air filter i can get to sit in front of the throttlebody? Also I was wondering if I could cut out a couple of rectangular grilles on the front bumper to get air to the radiator, but I noticed there is a steel beam that goes across, but I cant see it very good and wonder if I can cut that or is it very important to have it there? Is there a way around it? I dont want to have that stupid air dam get riped off again and again im tired of that thing! Oh and one more thing, My A/C doesnt work and want to take it out and wonder what all I have to do to get it out without messing anything up?
Thanks - Ryan
