I just put a 350/355 in my 1985 should i keep the stock Thermostat or get a 160 - 180 degree one? If so should i just get one from adavnce auto parts or a Hypertech Power Stats from summit?

Everyone seems to think 160* is too low, 180* seems to be the favorite here and it's what I run. These cars were designed to run hot. Do a search and there are a million threads on thermostat temps. Also, any decent quality thermostat should be fine, just don't get the valucraft junk from Autozone.

180° in the summer, 195° in the winter for me. You southern temps could probably stick to 180°.
