Over heating qustions ???
Hello all , I just started driving my 89' RS every day and found with the a/c on it gets warm or got warm / above 230 and this made me nervous because it wont stop climbing. To get it to come down I have to turn heater on and in a mile or 2 its back to 180 or so. So after some research and talking I flushed the radiator with no joy on fixing issue. I did find that condensor was dirty and had some bent fins that I could not straighten out. I went and purchased new one along with alternator and fan motor, this was the main fix's for the over heating .....weak fans due to age and wear. Well.....still runs warm but just takes a bit longer to get theren so I seem to be on right track...I hope.
So whats next? I got a radiator on the way home from work and a new 160 thermostat to see if it does the trick. What do the sensos folk think? I just would like to know how to check the flow of radiator and water pump.
I've read around and a bunch of us have the same thing......something has to be common to all of us.

230 is not overheating...
Fan switch is at 235~, with ac on may actually heat up. Verify your temps with an external gauge/thermometer.

with max a/c on, the radiator fan should be running the whole time. Verifiy that the fan turns on with max ac.
